Charles Dickens Begrudgingly... charmed audiences when it premiered at The Building Stage in December of 2011.
Creator Blake Montgomery performed a slightly revised version the following year at The Building Stage in 2012. This production won a Jeff Award for Solo Performance.
Fast forward to 2024, Blake revived his exuberant take on the famous author with a new production company, CLOWNSHOW, for the 2024 holidays with performances at The Den Theatre in Chicago.
In 2025, the show will be once again be presented by Clownshow and performed at Chicago's Theater Wit. The newly revised production will be directed by Jonathan Berry who joins the creative team for the first time. The show will run from December 4-28.
